Local marathon runner raising funds for Barnes defibrillators - update
Well done Carol! There’s nothing easy about running 26.2 miles in the hottest London Marathon ever! Congratulations on a wonderful run in 5 hours 6 mins 40 seconds. You have really done us proud and the whole of Barnes is indebted to you for raising nearly £4K to make the defibrillators happen. Massive thanks from all of us at BCA for this superb effort and to all your generous donors.
It’s not too late to sponsor Carol at Virgin Money or drop off a donation to Barnes Community Association at Rose House on Barnes High Street.
On Sunday 22 April, local Barnes resident, Carol Sutherland ran 26.2 miles in the Virgin Money London Marathon. She ran for the BCA to raise funds for their defibrillator project which will see two units situated in Barnes – one at Essex House Surgery and the other in the old phone box outside the Olympic Cinema.
The mum of two (to Rufus, 6 and Catriona, 3) who works as an Executive Assistant and lives with her husband Jamie and family in Grove Road, has been training hard with Barnes Runners to take on this awesome challenge.
