BCA Christmas Festival 2018 update
The festivities start on White Hart Lane on Tuesday 4 December with their Christmas Charity Night – 5pm-8pm. The shops will stay open and there will be prosecco, mulled wine and street food on offer, together with a Christmas raffle. All proceeds go to Castelnau Community Centre. On Friday 7 December, the Barnes Christmas Festival takes place on Barnes High Street and Church Road. This year the BCA has joined forces with The OSO Arts Centre this year to organise an expanded Christmas gifts Fair with stalls based inside and outside The OSO Arts Centre which will be open from 3pm-8pm. There will also be mulled wine, a traditional BBQ and roasted chestnuts to enjoy as you browse through the gifts on offer.
Local musical groups will be performing at the following locations through the evening: St Mary’s Handbell Ringers outside M&S on Barnes High Street from 6pm; Castelnau Chorale outside Rose House from 6-7pm; Barnes Community Choir and the Olympic Choir from 6.30pm outside the Olympic Studios; and Barnes Concert Band will perform Christmas carols in The Sun Inn yard from 7pm.
Father Christmas will start his evening at The Castelnau Community Centre at 4.30pm – he will leave there at 5pm and make his way around Barnes to The OSO Arts Centre where you can visit him in his grotto until 8pm.
Further details about the Barnes Christmas Festival will be included in a flier enclosed with your December copy of Prospect.
