Ponder project teams report on progress to a packed room
The Barnes Town Team met on 20 November and the six Ponder 2 project team leaders shared updates on the progress they have made over the last few months.
Green Barnes reported that they have split into two projects – Blue and Green Barnes and Sustainable Barnes and are taking forward a wide range of projects across the community.
Travel Barnes reported on progress with bus route campaigning, pedestrian crossing campaigning and other transport initiatives.
One Barnes reported on progress with the digital hub and the Men’s Shed.
Placemaking Barnes reported on their ambitions for improvements at the Red Lion junction, the junction of Castelnau/Lonsdale and the Broadway amongst other projects such as The View.
High Street Barnes reported on the digital high street MyHighStreet and the new market at Holy Trinity Church which aims to drive traffic to the Castelnau Parade.
The Safe Barnes update highlighted that there is no resident lead for this project as yet. However many of the projects relate to sharing information with residents about how to feel safe in their homes and when out in our community and these projects will be picked up by other Ponder teams.
