Filling Our Empty Shops
We have a number of empty sites available for rent across Barnes. The good news is that there is a lot of interest in any site that becomes available and so there are always options for the landlords. Clearly this situation varies depending on the economy, but at the moment it appears that there is no shortage of businesses keen to come to Barnes. Rumour has it that the former Sofin Interiors site on the High Street has been taken over by a new opticians business and that a tenant has been found for the old Castelnau Tiles site. The former Hearts and Crowns site may also soon have a new tenant – an art gallery. I am now in regular contact with the new owner of the former Strada site. He already has bar/restaurant businesses in Mayfair, Hatchetts and Highgate, The Star. He is keen to launch his new business in Barnes and I will let you know more about his plans as they develop. This is good news for Barnes and shows that our economy is strong.
