BCA responds to Council’s consultation on Draft Local Plan

The BCA has responded to the Council’s consultation on the Draft Local Plan for Barnes.  The first draft of the Plan sets out a strategic vision, objectives and place-making strategy to manage growth and guide development across the borough over a 15 year period.  The Place-based strategy for Barnes (section 14) emphasises the need to conserve and preserve the character and uniqueness of all areas of Barnes and to enhance the historic functionality around the centre of Barnes through better prioritising pedestrian use and accessibility.  You can find the plan and information about how to respond here: https://www.richmond.gov.uk/draft_local_plan_pre_publication_version.

The consultation closes on 31 January.
