New Ponder 2 teams come together for first time

The BCA Town Team brought together the Ponder 2 teams of volunteers for the first time at the Barnes Green Centre last week on 28th February. 

The Barnes Ponder 2 community visioning event, gathered the thoughts and ideas of over 1,000 residents to create a vision for Barnes for the future.  These consisted of six key themes and a number of exciting projects.  Volunteers have come forward to join teams, to help make these grass roots projects a reality, meeting for the first time last week to prioritise their projects and to plan a way forward.

Each of the six teams, Green Barnes, Travel Barnes, Placemaking Barnes, High Street Barnes, Safe Barnes and One Barnes, has a sponsor whose role is to oversee the work of the teams and to report back on progress to the Town Team.  As a next step all sponsors will arrange a second meeting as to enable the teams to plan their priorities and to work out how they will make them happen.  The date of the next Town Team meeting, will be publicised soon, and will be open to all to attend.
