BCA Barnes Men's Shed

The BCA Barnes Men’s Shed is similar to a garden shed - a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending. The difference is that garden sheds and their activities are often solitary in nature while Men's Sheds are the opposite. They're about social connections and friendship-building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course laughter.

Offering social interaction, and opportunities for men from different backgrounds that may not come together in any other setting. Typically attracting men and will include provisions for use of the shared space by women and youth. The essence of a Shed is not the building, but the connections and relationships between its members and the enhancement it makes within the community.

Our recent survey identified more than 100 local people interested in being part of a Men's Shed. We are in the process of finding our future home. We welcome anyone interested in being part of the launch team, and of course donations are very welcome.
